This was more something on composition, lines, and patterns, pretty coloring would've made the piece too complex and distracting, thus the rather monochromatic colors and the lack of shading for the most part. >< I know, total artist babble.

No, that is not a Maiko, maiko are too sweet, I just simply choose a Maiko-esque hair do, namely the momoware style. It's one of my characters(Setaiha) with her hair done up in a style similiar. This is something a little different then I normally upload, this kind of babble is usually left to rot in my sketch books, but I really liked the composition of this one, and it wasn't utter babble sketching, there's some reaccuring motifs and story elements. ><
