You may have to adjust your screen for this. It is very dark, especially on an LCD monitor, if you're on a CRT, it should be fine, as this was drawn on a CRT monitor, monitor makes a MAJOR DIFFERENCE.
Your images always had a wonderful note of detail in the fabric and accessories of your characters - not to mention bringing forth a sense of mood. The image darkness does not rob from the play of shadows within the scene itself. I love that effect really, it comes across very natural. The dull moon and the dark trees just do a wonderful job of both framing and bringing a source of light to the scene. The hair as always is fantastic, so is the sense of texture throughout. The cloud effect is wonderful as well in the background. I agree that a monitor makes a difference in an image. LCDs still have a little way to go before they get to the clarity that CRTs have always supplied. Wonderful piece Shavera, it's nice to see your work again.
I am always amazed by how, some people can get their deviations to look so shiny. I love the detail on the hair, it appears to show ever single strand. The shading job on the cloak is great also.
I, um, don't know what kind of monitor I have- but I really like it. He has a good expression & I like the shading/detail on his cloak and brooch-thing.
The shading on his face makes it look a bit too shiney/plastic-y; but that's more a style thing and can make it look better.
I don't know much about digital art but I do know that this looks very well done and like it had a lot of time, how did you manage the colors so well with it being so dark? Also the detail in the hair is great, I hate when people don't pay attention to hair detail.
